House Votes to Extend Federal Pay Freeze
 The U.S. House of Representatives has approved by a vote of 309 to 117 a bill that would extend a freeze on congressional salaries, as well as the salaries of congressional staff members and all civilian federal government employees.

Chevy Volt Not a Fire Risk, NHTSA Finds
 In a final report on an investigation that began last November 25, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) has determined that all-electric Chevrolet Volts are no more likely to catch on fire after serious collisions than traditional gasoline-powered vehicles.
